A fun project to work on, taking one of our business start up website models and adding a few helpful functionality tweaks to help make the business owners lives a whole lot easier.
Making Aces approached us with a view to having their tired old website revamped and create a proper club brand.
The website is to promote tennis holiday camps, coaching and tournaments, with an emphasis on a friendly ‘welcome-all’ feel.
The lion’s share of the business is holiday camps, aiming at parents who can easily contact to book their kids into the camps.
The branding we created is fun, colourful and concise and the owners loved it. It allowed us to follow this colour scheme throughout the website as a vibrant, easy to navigate website that does what it says on the tin.
Big, plain to see informational boxes with the right size font and spacing to give it a friendly feel. A fun ticker on the home page and a video showcasing the famous water fights the kids so enjoy – a huge trust signal to promote the holiday clubs to the parents.
The business startup websites we have devised allows for a fantastic looking website at an incredibly low cost. The design allows all the information any parent or budding tennis player is easy to see and it couldn’t be easier to contact the club to book a spot. You’ll note the bookings come via a form with the relevant info fields dedicated to that page so the team can go back and book a place as they have all the info they need.
We were heavily involved in the content of the website, making sure all the trust signals were in place, with images of the staff and kids on show, testimonials from anyone involved with making aces and the background of the staff and the ethos behind the club and how they deliver their tennis coaching and holiday fun days.
Call to actions on every page giving the user experience the little and no fuss journey they want, a contact form on every page, a map, telephone number and email to hand mean no one is searching for anything.

The next stage, currently underway, is a full event booking system for the holiday camps, which will allow parents to book and pay on-line for the holiday clubs.
This development will not only ease the admin burden on the Making Aces team, but improve bookings going forward. Keep an eye out as that’s due to go live very soon…
